MAGIC LEAP
LEAPCON 2018
HATCH.IM
After ten years in the making, Magic Leap, revealed it’s vision for the future of
spatial computing at it’s inaugural L.E.A.P. developers conference. And just like
the company and all the visionary Leapers who have made the impossible come
to life, this conference was never meant to be ordinary. Competing against several global agencies, Hatch embraced the core vision of Magic Leap and was awarded the honor of producing an event that exemplified the spirit of the Magicverse. After over a year of design, fabrication and planning and 8 days of setup, Hatch transformed Magic Box at the Reef’s 100,000 sq. ft. of raw exhibit space and half of it’s parking lot into an experiential journey for 1,700 invite only guests and journalists. Over two days of keynote and track session programming, featuring industry leaders, emerging tech developers and press were transported into completely immersive
environments throughout the venue, some of which included:

A Keynote Speaker Stage in the Round
20 Immersive Demo Studios
2 Space Ports and 1 Life-sized Space Mech in an Explorer’s Landing Bay
1 Big Ass Space Man
1 Knight on a Turtle in a Sea of Jellyfish
1 Robot Invasion
A Room of Star Wars Porgs
A 16,000 sq ft. Building Wrap
A Bit of Wynwood. FL transported to LA
Resulting in A Two Day Total…

As the associate creative director for LEAP 2018, I assisted in the designs of these elements as well as modeled and rendered all aspects of the project. In addition, I collaborated with fabrication vendors and stepped into the role of an onsite production coordinator to successfully execute our designs. Pictured above are the renderings I've created and below are the outcome photos.
